Obituary of Mildred Goode

Winston-Salem-Mildred Marie Goode, 58, went home to be with her Lord April 6, 2011. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 5:00 PM Sunday April 10 at Faith of God Ministries in Walkertown with Rev. Jerry Goode officiating. A native of Clay County, West Virginia, “Mickie” was the daughter of the late Dorlis Marie Shamblin and Oakie Russell Cummins. She was a member of Faith of God Ministries Church and loved her Lord, husband, children, and especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her sisters Ann and Barbara. Survivors include her loving husband Joseph Daniel “Danny” Goode of the home; daughters Delores Miller of Kentucky, Brook Salazar and James of Germanton, and Theresa Elkins of Mt. Olive; sons David Elkins and Ronald Ray Hodges both of Winston-Salem, and Joseph Goode and Lisa of Kernersville; grandchildren Mikayla, Brandon, Tony, Felicia, Sara Ann, Tish, Robin, Dava, and “TJ”; great-grandson Dillon; sister Linda Dillon; brothers Henry, Tim, Oak, and Rick Shamblin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. The family will visit with friends at the church immediately following the service at the church on Sunday.
