Obituary of Thetus Boggs

Kernersville - Thetus Clara Boggs, 79, went home to be with her Lord February 7, 2011. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 12:00PM Noon February 9, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Kernersville with Pastor Dr. Stephen Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Clara Paylor and Thomas Boggs. Thetus was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and a member of Jesse White Sunday School Class. She cared for numerous people over the years through her work at Bradford Village East (formerly Kernersville Care #1). She also worked in individual homes, and most recently at Kerner Ridge Assisted Living where she worked up until December of 2010. Survivors include her sister Betty Jarrell of Kernersville; nephew Edward "Ed" Jarrell and Beth of Kernersville; great nieces Sydney and Sarah Jarrell; a cherished best friend Jennie Ballard. The family will visit with friends from 11:00AM until time for the funeral at the church on Wednesday.
