Obituary of Peggy Idol Lawson

Kernersville - Peggy Pague Idol Lawson, 83, went home to be with her Lord January 24, 2011 following a brief illness. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 7:00PM Wednesday evening January 26, 2011 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gary Smith officiating. A native of Richmond County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Janie Elizabeth Eubanks and James B. Pague, Sr. Peggy retired from Team & Wheel Federal Credit Union in Winston-Salem, where she was a founder.. She had been a member of Bunker Hill United Methodist Church and currently a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her previous husband, and father of their six children, Rober Edsel Idol and her sister Dorothy Wyman. Survivors include her children Jimmy Idol and his wife Sue of Walkertown, Janie Idol Withers and her husband Glen of Ocean Isle Beach, Carol Idol Westmoreland and her husband Paul of Kernersville, Robert Wayne Idol and his wife Debbie of Shelby, Michael Idol and his wife Debbie of Kernersville, and Sherri Idol Smith and her husband Jon of Kernersville; grandchildren James Idol, Chris Idol, Kristi Idol, Temple Blankenship Overton, Gina Westmoreland Preston, Adam Rickett, Savannah Idol, Owen Smith, Hannah Smith, and Molly Smith; eleven great-grandchildren; brother James B. Pague, Jr. of Lynchburg, Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home on Wednesday evening.
