I will never forget the 311 picture you drew for me in high school. It was truly a work of art. Rest In Peace ☮️

I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Melanie through lacrosse. She was the assistant coach for a couple of years while my daughter played at Western Guilford. I helped on the sidelines with statistics. I will always remember Melanie's smile when we would first see each other on the sidelines. She was such a nice young lady. The picture on this site is great and really describes her vibrant personality. She will be greatly missed.

Melanie was one of my first and longest friends at UNCG. Every time we got to see each other, we would hug and I would smile when I saw those dimples. She constantly made me laugh, and I will cherish our memories together as friends for the rest of my life. I am so sorry for her family, as well as her other friends. She will live on forever with us.

I don’t know what to say other than my heart breaks for all those left behind, most especially her parents and immediate family. My granddaughter Carrie loved Melanie. I saw those young girls grow up while visiting my daughter’s home. What a ray of light Melanie was. That light provided all who knew her warmth, kindness, and grace. I know Melanie will live on not just in memories of her but in the hearts of the young girls I saw full of dreams, hopes, giggles, and mischievous eyes. God bless Melanie's family and may the peace of God follow you always.

To Ed and family...my condolences...as I said on Facebook there are no perfect words to say that make things better, just sending caring vibes from a friend

Ed, Laurel and Russ,
I'm so sorry for your loss and still cant wrap my head around this. She will be missed by many and taken too soon. I will cherish the memories we had when Mel and Erin were little. May she rest in peace, GOD certainly called home an angel.
