Obituary of Norean Rumley Foust

Norean Rumley Foust, 89, closed her eyes on earth and opened them in Heaven on March 24, 2024, surrounded by family that loved her.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Lakeview Memorial Park.

Norean was born to the late Otis Bullock and Della Bullock Gilchrist. She was retired from Sears Roebuck Catalog Distribution Center. She was a member of Gospel Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, cooking for her family, and entertaining at their country home. Her grandchildren knew she was always in the stands cheering them on at their ball games. She will always be remembered for her cheerful disposition, her amazing giblet gravy and brunswick stew.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronnie Rumley, a sister, Toby Gilchrist, as well as brothers, Marion Taylor Bullock, Billy Bullock and Tim Gilchrist.

Survivors include her husband Command Sergeant Major (Ret.) Steven Foust, daughters, Donna Rumley McGee (Bud), Terry Rumley, Scottie Rumley, sons, Ronnie Rumley (Vickie), Jeffery Taylor Rumley (Maria), grandchildren, Dr. Raleigh Norean Rumley, Autumn Schmidt (Donald), Blair Cofield (Charles), her favorite grandson Taylor Rumley and Lauren Rumley, great grandchildren, Samuel Cofield and Mabry Taylor Cofield. She is also survived by her brothers Dr. Ronald Bullock (Doris) and Mack Gilchrist (Ruth), sisters-in-law, Margie Bullock, Nancy Bullock, Barbara Salmon and a brother in law Tommy Rumley.
