Obituary of Carolyn Hunsucker

Carolyn Hunsucker, age 85 of Willow Spring, NC passed away Monday February 5, 2017 at the Universal Healthcare of Fuquay-Varina. A funeral service will be held Saturday February 10, 1pm at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro, NC. Visitation will be held Friday evening, February 9, from 6 pm until 8 pm at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home. Carolyn was born in Chicago, IL on December 29, 1932 to the late Earl Edwin and Mary Josephine Lorkowski Gobble. She met and married her husband of 53 years, enjoying life and retiring to the beach. Before retiring she worked for the office of Dr. Sigmon Tannanbaum for many years. While living at the beach she enjoyed walking the beach hunting for shells while her husband fished. She also loved keeping flowers in her garden and enjoyed doing crafts while at home. Preceding her in death along with her parents are her husband David Hunsucker and her daughter Kiplan Hunsucker, sisters Winifred Schaaf, Dolores Swihart, Irene Grelyak, Dorothy Kirpluk, and brothers Eugene Drzonek, Ted Drzonek and Stanley Drzonek. Surviving her are her daughter Shanda Barnett and husband Cecil of Willow Spring, NC, grandchild Ross Barnett, sister Gloria Arlene Stevens and numerous nieces and nephews. Hospice was a wonderful service, with their love, thoughtfulness, care and concern for Carolyn and her family.
