Obituary of Genora Roberts Shelton

Genora Roberts Shelton, age 88 of Greensboro, NC passed away Tuesday morning, November 28, 2017 at her home. A funeral service will be held Friday December 1, 2 pm at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Lakeview Memorial Park. Genora was born August 28, 1929 in Pikeville, KY to the late Richard Roberts and Sarah Ward Roberts. She worked for the Government assisting the U.S. Army with discharge documents, and then later with Lancome Cosmetics and Belk Department Stores as a makeup specialist. She is also the former owner of Johnson Memorial Cemetery in Pikeville, KY. She loved to travel around the world visiting many different countries. Surviving are her husband; William "Lee" Shelton, two sons Rusty Scott and wife Cathy, Clay Scott and wife Carmelita, two stepsons Terry Lee Shelton and wife Cheryl, Roger Allen Shelton, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday evening November 30, from 6 pm until 8pm at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home.
