Dear family,
It has been a privilege getting to know Mrs. Hansen and seeing her as a patient over the years. I enjoyed hearing about her life and discussing her recent plays at Abottswood. She was a special woman who was interesting, exciting and full of life. She will be sorely missed. My thoughts are with you.

Oh, how I loved Doris! She will continue to be an inspiration to me with her zest for life and her kindness to others...I am sorry that I was unable to attend the service on Saturday, (Broken foot) but send love and sympathy to her beloved family. I know she and Ernie are having a blessed reunion in the Kingdom of our Father. Thank you for your friendship, Doris. You will be missed.....

Dear Jane and family,
Your Mother was a precious one. I didn't know her personally all so well but the times I was in her presence she was enchanting and very interesting. You look so much like her. Daniel and I are sending love and keeping all of you in prayer during this time.
Hugs,
Carla and Daniel Marion

In 1983, Doris gave me the lead role in a play at church. She was my first director ever and the acting bug bit me. When I got a theater scholarship in college, I was sure she knew it was because of her helping me discover my love of being on stage. She was very humble about it and encouraged me to continue. I loved seeing her at church on Sundays and when I wasn't there, she would always ask my mom about my son (who she taught in Sunday School years ago) and me. I love her dearly and she will always be remembered as someone very special to me. She was loving and nurturing and I'll miss her.

Our first CTG production with Doris was in 1977. We had a delightful relationship ever since. Many shared shows later, we always admired her talent, enthusiasm and professionalism. She brought that energy to the United Way (I shared a loaned exec desk for 4 years with her) Great energy. Positive always.
Many happy memories. Never forgotten.

Jane and Lise, your mother was a dear friend to my parents. I enjoyed seeing her in recent years at Abbottswood where my parents also lived before passing away. Your mother was a strong and active woman and had such a loving heart. I am sorry for your loss.
