Obituary of Sandy Martin Varner

Sandy Martin Varner passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 after a long battle with lung cancer. Mrs. Varner was predeceased by her parents Esther and Woodrow Martin, her husband Jerry Varner and son Dean Varner. She is survived by her loving daughter, Michele Varner Southern and husband Mark of Wilmington, NC; by her beloved granddaughter Amber Southern and fiancé Michael of El Paso, TX; brother, Roger Martin and wife Carolyn; brother, Wayne Martin and wife Janelle all of Greensboro. Two nieces and a nephew and her faithful companion dog Skippy. The family would like to thank Dr. Gorsuch and her staff at the Cancer Center for their amazing care and support. They would also like to thank Renee Smith and Melanie Fuqua from Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro for their generous love and support. They would also like to thank Susan Bunton for her loving care. A graveside service will be on Saturday 11:00 am at Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro, NC.
