Obituary of Claude Forrest Fogleman

Claude Forrest Fogleman, age 98 of Greensboro, NC passed away Wednesday evening, August 9, 2017 at his home. The funeral service will be held Saturday August 12, 11 am at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Lakeview Memorial park. Claude was born in Browns Summit, NC to the late James Willie Fogleman and Cora Cook Fogleman on August 18, 1918. He was next to the youngest of seven boys. He served his country in WW II in the U.S. Army. Claude loved fishing, hunting and bowling, and was a lifetime member of Carraway United Methodist Church, where he was part of the Methodist Men. He worked at Southern Railroad, retired from Western Electric, where he was a member of the Pioneer Club, and then worked at Modern Tools where he was a Tool & Dye maker. He was also a Shriner, a member of the Masons, and also a member of the American Legion Post 386. Surviving are his wife Ernestine Callicutt Fogleman whom he married December 4, 1999, daughter Susie Wilson and husband Alan, granddaughter Karen Apperson and grandson Mark Wilson, Step-children Laura Brannock and husband Henry, Alice Hicks and husband Donnie, Donna Puckett and husband John, Don Norris, Marjorie and husband Perry Jenkins, nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death along with his parents are his first wife of 58 years Hilda Butler, and six brothers. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to his caregivers, Patsy Clark, Valerie Clyburn and Blanca Argueta for all of their loving care. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home from 10 am until 11 am.
