Obituary of Alyce Peterson

Alyce McGee Peterson, 77, of Kernersville,  formerly of Westfield, New York, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday February 28, 2019. She went to join her husband and greatest joy of sixty years, Vernon “Monty” Peterson.

Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 6:00PM Sunday March 3, 2019 at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel.  Inurnment will take place at Saint James Catholic Cemetery in Westfield, NY at a later date.

Alyce was born in Lockport, NY  July 16, 1941 to the late Marie and Dennis McGee. In addition to her parents and husband, Alyce was also preceded in death by her brothers, John “Jack” Edward McGee, and Robert “Bob” Charles McGee; and her sister, Ellen C. Milliron.

She was an amazing mother to six children and is survived by;  Gregory Peterson and Christine of Jamestown, NY, JoEllen Schroeder and James of Valrico, FL, Barbara Peterson and Andrew of Westfield, NY, Donna Quagliana and Frank of Westfield, NY, R. Dennis Peterson and Tracee of North East, PA, and Carole Griffith and Mark of Kernersville, NC; nineteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and great friends.

Alyce enjoyed her many church activities and had a special place in her heart for her pets.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice.
