Obituary of Bette Collins Crews

Bette Collins Crews went home to be with the Lord on Sunday April 14, 2019 surrounded by her family. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home on Thursday April 18, 2019 at 1:00PM. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.

Bette was born on August 17, 1930 to the late Myrtle Collins and Reverend Cree W. Collins in Salem, Virginia. She was a lifelong member of the Church of God who lived and shared her faith. Bette was an extremely generous and loving person who loved to be around people and they loved to be around her. She will be remembered for her quick wit, unique perspective on life and her legendary love of chocolate and sweets. Bette will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Surviving are her children Jalene Brancazio and Phil, Deirdre Ford and Gary, Bill Crews and Nina; grandchildren, Joey Rogers and Kelley, Danielle Spencer and Michael, Janna Brancazio, Jennifer Crews and Reuben; great-grandchild, who was named after Bette’s grandmother, Olive Eve; sister, Jolene Myers; and her brother, Darrell Collins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Durelle Crews, Sr.; and her brother Joseph Collins.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Lee University missionary fund in memory of Myrtle and Reverend Cree W. Collins (PO Box 3450 Cleveland, TN 37320-3450)
