Obituary of Helen Crutchfield Titsworth

Helen Crutchfield Titsworth, 93, of Mebane passed away peacefully on Thursday March 7, 2019

Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held at 3:00PM Sunday March 10, 2019 at Andrews Memorial Baptist Church in Graham, officiated by Rev. Brandon Rouse. The family will visit with friends prior to the service on Sunday from 2:00PM to 3:00PM. A private family committal service will be held Monday March 11, 2019 at Alamance Memorial Park.

A native of Chatham County, Helen was the wife of the late, Joe David Titsworth and the daughter of John Henry Crutchfield and Lillie Thomas Crutchfield, both deceased.  She was a faithful member of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church where she was an active member of the choir for over fifty years. Helen was a Real Estate Broker in Alamance County having been owner/operator of Reality World, Titsworth Real Estate and later working at several local real estate companies. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who enjoyed cooking and serving the best meals ever to those she loved.

Helen is survived by her two grandsons, Kenneth Matthew Bivins and wife, Emily of Mebane and Kirk Randall Bivins and wife, Laura of Graham; seven great grandchildren, Nathaniel Parker “Nate” Bivins, Peyton Anne Bivins, Ellie Daye Bivins, William David Bivins, Joshua Hamilton Etheridge, Caroline Noelle Etheridge, and Christian Everett Etheridge; sister, Shirley Crutchfield Thompson and husband, Glenn of Burlington; brother, Hal Thomas Crutchfield and wife, Sylvia of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Helen was preceded in death by her daughter, Jo Ellen Titsworth; sister, Kathleen Crutchfield Jones; and brother, Talton Crutchfield.
