Obituary of Raymond Jack Nifong

Raymond “Jack” Nifong, 80, passed away March 8, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center.

Graveside funeral services will be 11:00AM Tuesday March 12, 2019 at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Rev. Ron Baity officiating.

Jack was born October 4, 1938 in Davidson County to the late Crystal May Hiatt and Raymond Howard Nifong.  In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Shirley Spivey Nifong and son, Kenneth Ray Nifong.

He is survived by his daughter, Sandy King; granddaughters, Jennifer Smith and Miranda Nifong; great-grandchildren, Chesney Smith, Jake Smith, Tyler Smith, Allaura Barr, and Mariah Barr; brother, Charles Eugene Nifong; sisters, Mary Frye and Geneva Chitty; step-son, Joe Floyd and several extended family members.

Jack was a longtime member of Berean Baptist Church of Winston-Salem. He had a long career as a Draftsman in the Heating and Air Industry, but truly enjoyed his retirement years.
