Obituary of John Charles Strothman

John Charles Strothman, Jr., 87, of Winston-Salem went home to be with the Lord Thursday March 14, 2019.

A native of Huntington, New York John was the loving husband of 63 years to Regina Hughes Strothman and the son of the late, John Charles Strothman, Sr. and Mae Lipp Strothman. He was a veteran of the US Navy. John retired from Newsday on Long Island, New York as a print setter for over 40 years. He was a self taught carpenter being able to build anything he set his mind to. The three greatest lessons he learned in life was to always be truthful, do the best in everything you do, and to always trust in God and He will guide you. John was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Regina of the home; two daughters, Kathleen Strothman Leavey and husband, John of Wellington, Florida, and Patricia Strothman Miranda of Kernersville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Colin Leavey, Shannon Leavey, Hector Miranda, James Miranda, Weston Miranda, and Seqouia Miranda.
