Obituary of Virginia G. Bailey

Virginia G. Bailey, 97, of Summerfield joyfully passed away on May 1, 2019 at her home. Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, 3:00PM at Westminster Gardens. The family will visit with friends at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home, prior to the service from 1:30PM-2:30PM on Sunday.

Virginia was born on November 16, 1921 in Rockingham County to the late Robert and Era Gauldin. She was married to Peyton Bailey and had daughters Myra Burkhead (Jim) and  Gindy Brown (Terry).  In addition to her daughters, she is survived by grandchildren Amy Riley, Chad Burkhead, Kelsi Wilson and Steven Wilson; six great-grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Philmon and brother, Noel Gauldin.

Virginia enjoyed sewing, baking, reading and loved her family, church and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Foundation of Greater Greensboro (2500 Summit Ave. Greensboro, NC 27405) or Morehead United Methodist Church (3214 Horse Pen Creek Rd. Greensboro, NC 27410)
