Obituary of Junie L. Gordon

Junie L. Gordon, 78, of Greensboro, NC passed away peacefully Wednesday May 22, 2019.

Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service Chapel on Saturday May 25, 2019 at 3:00PM with Pastor Jimmy King officiating. Interment will follow at the Shining Light Baptist Church Cemetery in Greensboro.

A native of Guilford County, Junie was the husband of 57 years to Betty Gordon and the son of the late, Vernie Shields Gordon and Alma Meris Gordon. He was a retired tractor trailer mechanic.

Survivors include his wife, Betty of the home; daughter, Annette Weaver and husband, Jerry of Greensboro; sons, Rodney Gordon and fiancée, Susan of Lewisville, NC , and Donnie Gordon and wife, Sherri of Kernersville, NC; grandchildren, Jason, Lori, Kasey, Kelli, Jenny, and Brenden; great granddaughter, Amelia; and sister, Mary Anna Gordon of Greensboro.

In addition to his parents, Junie was preceded by his daughter, Cynthia Gordon; and brothers, Roscoe Gordon, Paul Gordon, and Dale Gordon.

The family will visit with friends at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service on Friday May 24, 2019 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
