Obituary of Martha Stafford Martin

Martha Stafford Martin, 79, died July 10, 2019 at her home.

Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 4:00PM Monday July 15, 2019 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

A native of Forsyth County, Martha was the daughter of the late Jesse Mae Hardin and Swain Stafford. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Swain Stafford, Sr.; grandson, Jeffrey Swain Stafford, Jr.; and her brother, Charles Stafford.

She had worked for a number of years at Baptist Hospital as a Lab technician. She was loved by all who knew her, and she especially loved her “Gizmo”!

Survivors include her loving husband of forty years, Larry G. Martin of the home; brother, Ronald Stafford of Thomasville; step-daughters, Dawn Harpster and Steve of Kernersville, and Tammy Martin of Belews Creek; step-grandchildren, Ashley Harpster, Alex Harpster, Steven Harpster, and Jordan Hayes; and step-great-grandson, Braydon Townsend.
