Obituary of Teresa Staples Braswell

Teresa Staples Braswell, 62, of Greensboro, NC passed away peacefully Sunday August 11, 2019.

Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 4:00PM Thursday August 15, 2019 at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church with Rev. Justin Lowe officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

A native of Durham, NC, Teresa was the wife of Doug Braswell and the daughter of the late, William T. “Bill” Staples and Shirley Hughes Staples. She was a loving wife, mother, and Maw Maw who had endless love for her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Doug of the home; daughter, Ashley Mabe Owen of Winston-Salem; son, Will Mabe and wife, Traci of Kernersville; grandsons, Chase Mabe and wife Courtney, Wayne Owen, and Zach Day; granddaughters, Kirsten Mabe, Edith Owen, and Chasity Godfrey and fiancée, Zach Williamson; and great granddaughter, Sophia Williamson.

In addition to her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by her brother, Jeff Staples.

The family will greet friends from 3:00PM to 4:00PM Thursday prior to the service at the church.
