Obituary of Hazel Marie McCandless Dwiggins

Hazel Marie McCandless Dwiggins, 88, of Winston-Salem passed away peacefully Monday October 14, 2019.

Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 1:00Pm Friday October 18, 2019 at the Mausoleum Chapel of Eastlawn Gardens of Memory, Kernersville, NC with Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. The family will greet friends 12:30PM to 1:00PM Friday at the Mausoleum.

A native of Guilford County, NC, Hazel was the wife of the late, Robert Franklin “Frank” Dwiggins and the daughter of the late, Joseph Arthur McCandless and Mamie Ailena Adams McCandless.

Survivors include her sons, Timothy Wayne Dwiggins and wife, Debbie of Kernersville, NC, and Joseph Arnold Dwiggins and his wife B. J. of Pittsboro, NC; daughter, Martha Kaye Swaim and husband, Dennis of Walkertown, NC.; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Helen Jessup of Greensboro, NC; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Lee Dwiggins Knowles; sisters, Pansy McCandless, Beatrice McCandless, Dean McCandless; and brothers, Arce McCandless, Ulden McCandless, and Hope McCandlees.
