Y'all's mom was a wonderful adult friend during our high school years. I always look forward to receiving the "Cormier Epistle" during Christmas to keep up with what's going on in the family. Take care, Jeff & Mary Alice Vanhoy

I was so sad to here about Mrs. Cormier’s departure but knowing what a faithful servant of God that she was she is looking down on us. Mrs. C and I bonded when she was at Cash Elementary and I will never forget how she opened her heart to me. She was there for me when my husband was in the ICU and so was Debbie, her loving daughter in law - we hadn’t been in touch recently except for her Christmas greeting and just the other day I was thinking about her and how I needed to visit. Don’t let time go by and not visit those who love you because they are gone too soon. Mrs Cormier - Rest In Peace, I love you and thank you for all the lives you touched especially mine. Amarant was such a special lady who always had a smile and a kind word. She was always gracious and lived her life to the fullest. She welcomed me to Christ Lutheran when I first started attending and always made you feel apart of the family.

Wonderful, kind, passionate Mrs. Cormier. Here’s a lady who never did anything halfway. I had her as a substitute in school and my kids went on to have her, the lady with all the bracelets they’d say. She went on to become my Avon lady and my friend. Many hours spent in my house and her basement talking politics. Thankfully we were like minded, if not, I think she could have persuaded me. She had such passion in everything she did and believed, immense love for her family, friends, church and God. I know she’s so happy to be reunited with Norm, John and Kia. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

I had the opportunity to get to know Mrs. Cormier while I was Principal at Cash Elementary in the late 1990's. She was friendly, happy and loved to be with the students at Cash. I enjoyed getting to know her and always appreciated her work at Cash. I saw her obituary in the paper this morning and was sad to see she had passed away. She had a long, fruitful and interesting life. My condolences go out to all her family members and friends.

Amarant was a friend for over 40 years. Her intelligence and passion for life impressed me from the moment I met her. I loved to hear about her many travels. She loved her family and her church. Her great faith and her love for her country were subjects which we enjoyed discussing. I pray for your family but I rejoice that Amarant is seeing her beloved husband Norm and son John.and, of course, her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is at peace and in a far, far better place.

Amarant, was the personification of the love of Christ. The Cormier Family, where aand still are wonderful neighbors and friends.
When my mother died, Amarant graciously opened her home to our family member so they would be with us. This was done because of her deep belief in God and her kind heart. Instant steadfastly supported our veterans making quilts\blankets. Demonstrating her heartfelt patriotism. I remember her joy when she got her drivers license. Her beekeeping\honey skills, and so much more....but I loved our quiet times tigether. When Amarant would share a cup of tea with me and we would talk about our families, lives and this country we both cherish so very much.
Amarant was a lovely, kind, gracious human being! The world lost one of its brightest, purest lights to go and join the light of Our Lord but the world is dimmer for it. Christmas update letters will be missed Amarant. You will always and forever be in our hearts.

Mrs. Cormier was a wonderful substitute teacher for many at Cash Elementary. She was a great Avon representative too. She was a devoted Christian; her prayer shawls were lovely; I am sure she has heard, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” We last spoke on her birthday; Mrs. Cormier will be missed greatly.
