Obituary of Frances Tilley McBride

Frances Tilley McBride (Sissy),70, of Winston-Salem was surrounded by loved ones and called to her heavenly home on Friday, May 15, 2020, and welcomed with open arms of her daddy! 

“Sissy” was born to Edith and to the late Francis Tilley on March 27,1950. In 1965, She met the love of her life John McBride, and was so excited and couldn't wait to become his wife in 1968. She continued her education, and graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1968. She was Baptist faith. For many years she took care of the elderly and loved every minute of it! Her smile and laughter would light up a room! She spent many years with her sister-in-law, Nancy, dressing as clowns visiting the elderly in rest homes. She loved and was loved by everyone! It was never a dull moment when Sissy was around!! She enjoyed spending time with her mom and their endless hours at Walmart!

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years of the home, John McBride; her mom and her best friend, Edith Tilley of Kernersville; her daughter, Mary Crews (Jason); and son, William McBride(Michelle). She had 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; Chris McBride (Megan) and their children, Tyler, Dylan, Kaylee “KK”; Robert Ballard (Samantha) their children, McKinley

 & Alanna; Cindy McBride; Courtney Ballard and her children, Jaxon & Keaton; Amber, Brooke & Lauren McBride, and Adam & Kendyl Crews; her brothers, Perry Tilley (Faye), Curtis Tilley (Nyoka); and her baby sister, Jewel McClenic (Brian); her beloved dog, Tiny; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
