Obituary of Delores F. Sweet

Delores F. Sweet, 63, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully in her husband’s arms Thursday July 16, 2020.

Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 11:30AM Tuesday July 21, 2020 at Heavenview United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Harold Linder officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will have a walk-thru visitation from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Monday July 20, 2020 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel.

A native of Forsyth County, NC, Delores was the wife of 47 years to William C. “Bill” Sweet and the daughter of the late James Grady Williams and Ina Cook Williams.

Survivors include her husband, Bill of the home; son, D. J. Sweet and wife, Lorie “Sissie”; daughter, Kimberly Thomas and husband, Antwon; six grandchildren, Alyssa, Dalton, Kaden, Zaden, Jada, and Noah; sister, Shirley Sweet and husband, Robert; brother, Eddie Williams and wife, Jessica; beloved dog, Scrappy, and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.

In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by four brothers, Jerry Williams, Bobby Williams, Jimmy Williams, and Donald Williams.
