Obituary of Vera Modlin Gordon

Vera Modlin Gordon, 97, of Colfax, NC passed away peacefully at Shannon Gray Nursing Home, Jamestown, NC, Saturday August 1, 2020.

Graveside Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 11:00AM Wednesday August 5, 2020 at the Shady Grove Wesleyan Church Cemetery with Rev. Phil Kirkman officiating.

Vera was born January 9, 1923 to Enoch and Lelia Smith Modlin, both deceased. She was the wife of 29 years to the late Sammy Gordon. Vera retired from Blue Bell. She enjoyed life to the fullest and found her greatest joy in helping others.

In addition to her husband and parents, Vera was preceded in death by her brother, Herman Modlin.
