My Old Friend Charles, I am saddened by your & Joshua's loss. Donna was a wonderful, loving and caring individual who I'm thankful I was fortunate enough to have met, became friends with and shared some wonderful times together. I will never forget the day I happened to drop by your house one Sunday Morning when I was traveling through Kernersville, to be told by your neighbor she was at the hospital in labor. I made a bee line to the hospital and was able to be there when you two welcomed your son (Joshua) into this world and again honored to be present at his high school graduation.. I remember what great times we had as neighbors in Conover and will never forget how she introduced herself to me for the first time. We had just moved in and my parents were down (from Asheville) and I answered a knock at the door , to find this lady (I did not know) and immediately she started stating ....."Wash you car sir, shine your shoe sir, wash your clothes sir"! I thought who in the world is this CUCKOO!!!! Then she introduced herself and the rest is history. I remember the time you all came to Etowah for a visit after we transferred from Hickory to Hendersonville and we played golf, reminisced about old times and had a GREAT visit. Those who knew her was fortunate to have known her and she will be greatly missed. ps... Remember how she kept wanting me to take her for a ride in my Patrol car, then one night I gave in and took you and her up Herman Sipe Road. She NEVER opened her eyes, said much nor asked for another ride. I love you my friend and send my best wishes to you , Joshua and your family through these difficult times.

Besides being a wonderful, wife, mother and grandmother, what I remember most about Donna was her joyful spirit and her contagious laugh. She will be missed by family, friends and all who knew her. Prayers for peace and comfort for the whole family
