Obituary of Emery "Buddy" Durham, III

Emery “Buddy” Durham, III, 66, rode his Harley into heaven with his Bocephus and Lil Bit on January 4, 2021.  A walkthrough visitation will be 1:00 – 3:00 PM on Sunday January 10, 2021 at Pierce-Jefferson Lambeth Chapel. 

Buddy was born May 23, 1954 to the late Emery “Buck” Durham, II, and Carol Oakley Durham in Greensboro, North Carolina.   

Buddy will always be remembered as a fun loving, Harley-Davidson riding, big hearted, dog loving friend to many.  

He worked for the City of Greensboro Park and Recreation Department for over 38 years. 

Survivors include his wife, Diane Durham, daughters; Mandy Durham and Jessica Thomas, step daughter; Lauren Williams and husband Marti, step-son; Jeff White, II, and wife Jessica, granddaughters; Cheyenne Thomas and Kelsea J’hene Williams, sisters; Missy Durham Hardy and husband Doug, and Lisa Lewis and husband David, as well as many close friends and extended family. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA and/or His Laboring Few Biker Ministry, 812 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Thomasville, NC 27360.       

A Celebration of His Life will be held on his birthday, May 23, 2021 at his home, please mark your calendars.   Bring your bike, your booze, appetite for Buddy’s Bar-B-Que and a good story to share.
