Obituary of Myrtle L. Kirkman

 

Myrtle L. Kirkman, 85, went home to be with her Lord January 9, 2021. 

Graveside Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be held 3:00PM Tuesday January 12, 2021 at Lakeview Memorial Park with Pastor Mike Barkley officiating.  

A native of Wilkes County, Myrtle was the daughter of the late Lola Mae Shatley and Edward Lunsford. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her daughter, Cathy Bullard; grandson, Christopher Wyrick; sisters, Linda Norris and Emmalee Parker; and brothers, Johnny Lunsford, Guy Lunsford, and Graham Lunsford. 

She was retired following more than fifty years of service from Cone Mills White Oak Division.  

Survivors include her daughter, Teresa K. Morales and Luis of Greensboro; grandson, Michael Wyrick of Greensboro; great-grandchildren, Pyper and Christopher; sisters, Lillie Carty and Roy of Gibsonville, Barbara Rush of Randleman, and Annie Mae Rich and Jerry of McLeansville; brothers, Greel Lunsford of McLeansville, Rayford Lunsford of Belews Creek, Sonny Lunsford and Minnie of McLeansville, Raymond Lunsford and Peggy of Greensboro, Roy Lunsford of Greensboro, and Clarence Lunsford and Annette of McLeansville; her special friend, Jo Anne Rice of Lexington; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Throughout her life, Myrtle was always surrounded by animal companions with her last being her faithful “Tanner”.
