To the Ross family. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. I was fortunate to have Mrs. Ross as my biology teacher my junior and senior year at East. She was a wonderful teacher with a heart of gold and a woman of immense faith. Her passion for her students and life will always be remembered. Mrs. Ross had a bulletin board in her classroom that simply stated, "It's nice to be important but it's also important to be nice". May your memories bring peace and comfort and may God wrap you in his love.

India Oafe Chitty: Mrs Ross was the best if the best. She taught my older sister, brother and myself. We have never forgotten her and reminisce about our time with her often. God bless you all.

I'm so so sorry for loss. Mrs. Ross is one of the only teachers that I recall on everything in life almost. Her ways of teaching were fun and of course unforgettable. That's when I learn just about all the trees and bushes there is around here and has stuck with me till this day. She was and always will be one of my greatest mentors. I loved her like family. May God bless your family Mrs. Ross as you were.

I remember Mrs. Ross as the Science Department Chair at East Forsyth. She helped all of us, but me especially me because I taught directly across the hall from her classroom. I was always glad to help her out, too.

Martha and Suzanne, Your mother was a great teacher and a sweet, kind lady. She was one of my favorite teachers of all time. Who can forget dissecting the pigs and frogs! . . . by my bushy gray beard . . . Advanced Biology, 11th Grade, 1977-1978 . . . I did a glorious amount of dissecting in that class . . . most importantly, the fetal pig, the capstone mammalian dissection . . . yeah, nothing quite like working a scalpel with fingers numbed by formaldehyde . . . I still remember the warm, bright, sunny Spring day we buried what was left of the carcasses by the chain link fence separating our football stadium and I-40 . . . hmm, before I-40 was Business 40, before Business 40 was Salem Parkway . . . some of my classmates decorated the mass grave with conveniently nearby wild blackberry blossoms . . . Mrs. Ross lamented, "Those are berries the birds won't get to eat." . . . .

I am sending my condolences to the family of Mrs. Ross. She was my Biology teacher in the 10th grade at East Forsyth in the mid-sixties. I loved being in her class. She was a great teacher! The last time I saw her she was in Burlington having lunch with her husband and they were going to the Colonial Inn in Hillsborough to celebrate an anniversary. Prayers for all of you!

I'm so sad to hear about the passing of Mrs. Ross. She was my teacher at East Forsyth, and later I had the pleasure of doing her hair every week for quite a while. She was witty, and charming, and full of wisdom.... I'll forever be grateful that she recommended seeing the movie, "Officer and a Gentleman." She loved her husband and family and home. What a treasure she was.... Deepest sympathy to her family and friends for your loss.

I always enjoyed visiting and seeing Ms. Eleanor. I loved her chuckle. I remember going to see her at Camden Place one morning about 10:45 am. She was seated in the lounge area eating her breakfast. She laughed and said, they have finally learned I am not a morning person. I had my share of getting up early mornings. She always greeted me with her smile and warmth. Thank you Daughters, for the way you have honored her. May God continue to bless us all in Christ. Rev. Dave Cash
