Obituary of Russell Glenn Boaeuf

Mr. Russell "Rusty" Glenn Boaeuf, 82, of Greensboro passed away on August 8, 2023, at his home.  Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he was a long-time resident of the Tampa Bay area.

Following his service as part of the U.S. Marine Corps, Rusty dedicated much of his time to giving back to the community. This included local chambers of commerce, as a member of the Freemasons, a long-time volunteer with the American Red Cross, and through the outreach program at West Market Street United Methodist Church. He was nicknamed "The Mayor" because he made friends wherever he went. 

He is survived by his children, Daryl Boaeuf and wife, Jody; Janeane Bodack and husband, Daniel; his grandchildren, Ashley Lange and husband, Travis, Christina "CJ" Fullford and husband, Ian; and his great-grandchildren, Kylar and Emelia Fullford.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Donna (Geiger) Boaeuf; and his brothers, John Boaeuf and Dale Boaeuf.

To better honor Rusty and his lifetime commitment to running a little behind on time, the family will receive friends on Thursday, August 17, 2023, from 4:30PM - 6:30PM at Pierce-Jefferson Lambeth Chapel, 300 W. Wendover Ave., Greensboro, NC 27401. Funeral services celebrating Russell's life will follow at 6:30PM in the chapel. Graveside services and interment will be at Sylvan Abbey Cemetery in Clearwater, Florida with more details to come. 

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to Wounded Warriors, American Red Cross, and/or West Market Street United Methodist Church.
