Obituary of Grant William Anderson

In Loving Memory of Grant William Anderson
December 4, 2004 - August 13, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Grant William Anderson, who left this world far too soon on August 13, 2023. Grant was a cherished son, brother, nephew, godson, grandson, and friend, whose presence illuminated the lives of all who knew him.

Born on December 4, 2004, Grant brought boundless joy and energy to every moment of his 18 years with us. He had an unwavering love for life and a zest for exploring its many facets. Grant was a young man of diverse interests, finding solace and delight in the worlds of video games, anime, playing the guitar, and capturing his imagination through art. His love for learning new hobbies and skills was a testament to his adventurous spirit.

Grant was a master of wit and sarcasm, always ready with a clever retort that could brighten anyone's day. He had the ability to bring smiles and laughter to any situation, leaving everyone around him in stitches with his goofiness and infectious laughter.

Though he was brave in many aspects of life, Grant had a profound fear of roller coasters and of going to bed on time, quirks that endeared him to those who knew him well. His favorite flavor was cotton candy, a sweet reflection of his vibrant personality. And, in a display of his individuality, he firmly believed that Pepsi was better than Coke, sparking lighthearted debates among friends and family.

Grant is survived by his loving family: his father, Rowland Anderson and wife, Kristen; mother, Miranda Weavil Muller and step-father, Jay Muller; aunt, Mary Weavil; godmother, Sharon Stockton; eldest sisters, Mariah Weavil-Abueg and her partner, Michael Lee, Michaela Abueg and her partner, Devang Mistry, and Skyler Anderson; younger brother, Adam Anderson; step sisters, Kendyl and Kaylee; grandparents, Brent Weavil and his wife, Chiquita, Roger Anderson and wife, Deirdre, and Lori and Roger Brusky; and his beloved Kernersville Cook Out Family.

He is proceeded in death by his grandmother, Elaine Weavil; grandparents, Roger and Brenda Stockton; great grandfather, Bill Weavil; and his faithful pups, Maxx and Hannah.

While we mourn his untimely departure, we celebrate the incredible young man he was and the indelible impact he had on us all.

A memorial service will be held in Grant's honor on August 19, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel.
