Obituary of Wanda Charlotta "Coggie" Shaw

Wanda Charlotta “Coggie” Shaw, 75, of Midway, NC passed away peacefully Sunday, January 7, 2024.

A native of Tazewell, VA, Wanda was the wife of the late Rudy Chandler and the daughter of Ralph Moore and Lola Mae Rose Moore, both deceased.

Survivors include her stepdaughter, Anntyia Vestal; goddaughter, Jackie Surber and husband, David Hopkins; five grandchildren, Ginger Thomason, Taryn Vestal, Chase Williams, Elaina Hopkins, and Jared Hopkins; sisters, Linda Nearon and husband, Dave of Fort Recovery, OH, Susan Johnson and husband, Mark of Washington State, and Melissa Gallutia and husband, Scott of Bucyrus, OH; brothers, Dennis Moore of Washington State, and Greg Moore and wife, Bonnie of Greenville, OH; and step-brother, Hershel Lee Mitchem of Hamptonville, NC.

In addition to her husband and parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Moore.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Elton Wilborne officiating. Interment will follow at the Saints Delight Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00PM to 2:00PM Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
