Obituary of Mildred Clapp

Ms Mildred Lavinia Clapp, 80, of Greensboro, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2009, at Camden Place Health and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, October 23rd, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel, with the Reverend Roy Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane United Methodist Church Cemetery. For the past 25 years Mildred has been lovingly cared for at the Evergreen Nursing Home where she was known as the person most likely to make you smile. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman F. and Bessie Dixon Clapp. Mildred is survived by her cousins, James Dixon and wife Barbara, of Pittsboro, Jean Allin and husband Bruce, of Chapel Hill, and Joseph Clapp and wife Helen, of Akron, Ohio (formerly of Greensboro). The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am Friday, prior to the service.
