I'm so grateful to have been able to attend Nans funeral, it was a very special time. She's in a better place now. I am so happy to have been able to spend time with Family. Uncle Jack and Aunt Helen did such a wonderful job taking care of Nan, and planning the service.

I remember riding in my Nannys' orange American Hornet car. She would take me to Hardee's for breakfast and we would get blueberry biscuits. My nanny took care of me while my mom was at work and I know there were times when I did not listen as well as I should, but believe me she would send me a message via my bottom to let me know.
I will miss you dearly. I will miss celebrating our Birthdays together.
I love you.

My great grandmother, Nanny was a hoot! I can still see her in her stockings and slip standing in the kitchen fixing me and my sister breakfast, when we spent the night with her. We used to play a game with Nanny, where we would ask her, her name. She would always reply " Pootingtang ask me again and I'll tell you the same". Nanny could swing a baceball bat. Me and my sister were walking to our friends house when two black snakes fell out of a tree. Nanny came running out of the house with a baceball bat, and laid into those snakes. After she finished she draped them over the bat, and had us take a picture of her holding the two dead snakes. Nanny I have so many wonderful memories of you. I now that you are in a better place. I still miss you though. I love you!

Great grandmother...my Nanny. The greatest gifts given are those not forgotten. I remember many a weekend spent at your house. If me and my sister wanted to work in the garden, you made us wear old panty hose on our hands. I never understood why....my hands were still going to get dirty and I still may have gotten "pricked" by anything. But you made us wear old used panty hose anyways. I couldn't question it, because I knew you were always right. I miss you already, and you will be forever in my heart.

I remember my Grandmother, "Nanny", as a woman who always wore skirts, put her hair up in a bun ( never knew how long it really was ), and carried her purse everywhere she went, even in the house !I will remember how strong a person she was, somewhat stubborn, and very independent. I am lucky that she was my grandmother and that she raised a wonderful, funny, loving son--who became my father.
I will miss you granny, but I will never forget you.
Love you always,
JACKIE
