Ms. Adelaide Shepard Holmes Our loving mother and 'Nannie' Ms. Adelaide Shepard Holmes went to be with her Heavenly Father surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday August 12, 2009. Visitation will be Friday, August 14 at Lambeth Troxler Funeral Home from 6pm-8pm. The funeral service will be Saturday, August 15 at 2:00 PM at Lambeth Troxler Funeral Home with a burial service to follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Born September 9, 1915, Ms. Holmes was a member of Rankin Baptist Church and a lifetime homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was the daughter of Mr. Mac M. Shepard and Mrs. Lilian Wylie Shepard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Artley E. Holmes Sr.; Children Artley 'Sonny' Holmes Jr. and Deann and Clarence Caviness; Brother Luther Shepard and Great-Grandson Nathan Lee Cable. Surviving are daughters Faye Shane and husband Bobby; Dawn McClintock and husband Robert; 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the home of Dawn and Robert McClintock in Browns Summit, NC.
