Obituary of Hazel Jessup

Hazel Maxine Kivett Jessup, age 96 of Axton, VA passed away Tuesday April 5th, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Martinsville, VA. There will be a graveside service held 3pm Monday April 11th at Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro, NC. Mrs.. Jessup was born June 5th, 1919 to the late Connie Hazel Kivett and Eva Devinney Kivett in Randolph County, NC. She worked for McLean Lighting Works where she fabricated special lamps and light fixtures. Surviving are her daughters Sandra Lamb of Axton, VA, Sonia Hanshaw and husband H. Jackson Hanshaw of Martinsville, VA, her special son-in-law Bob Lamb of Axton, VA, one sister Faye Kivett Barker of Asheville, NC, several nieces, nephews and cousins, two grandchildren, three great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Preceding her death along with her parents are her husband Cecil Paul "Pete" Jessup and her siblings. The family will receive friends from 1pm until 2pm prior to the graveside at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home. The family appreciates all of the support from everyone, and wishes that any donations made to the organization of the donor's choice.
