Obituary of Vivian Younger Welborn

Mrs. Vivian Younger Welborn, 88, died Thursday, November 28, 2013, at Blumenthal Jewish Nursing & Rehabilitation in Greensboro. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 3rd in Lakeview Memorial Park, with Rev. John Jarmon officiating. Mrs. Welborn was born on September 1, 1925, in Wilkes County, to the late Parks and Arizona Younger. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of Rankin Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Amber Welborn, and brother, Joseph Parks Younger. She is survived by her son Wayne Welborn, and wife Melissa, grandson, Noah Welborn, all of Pinehurst; grandson Chris Welborn and wife Angie, great grandchildren, Randall, Tyler & Jessica Welborn, all of McLeansville; two sisters, Edith Glass of Wilkesboro, and Nancy Jane Younger of Lynchburg, VA. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Monday at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home on Wendover Avenue. Memorials may be made to the Children's Home of North Carolina, Thomasville, NC.
