Obituary of Homer Sanders Jones

Homer Sanders Jones, 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by his daughters on Monday November 25, 2013 at Maple Grove Health & Rehabilitation. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service with the Rev. Randy Pearman officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park. He was born in Carroll County, Virginia on June 25, 1930, son to Lonnie Cole Jones and Essie H. Byrd Jones. He worked in security at Cone Mills and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Homer was predeceased in death by his wife Elise May Jones on October 26, 2010. Surviving is his daughters, Mary Garrett and husband Randy of Gibsonville; Vickie Kendrick and husband Larry of Clemmons; son, Mark Jones and wife Robin of Greensboro; sisters, Lena Mae Clontz and husband Russ, Iva Vaughn, Betty Stone, Orpha Taylor; brothers, George Jones and wife JoAnn, Curtis Jones and wife Jearldene, Alfred Jones and wife Marlyn,10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service. Other times the family will be at the residence, 2411 Cypress Street.
