Obituary of Christopher Derek Manning

Christopher Derek Manning 12-31-1986 to 11-23-2013 Hear ye! Hear ye! Hear ye! Our most loved son, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, and grandson, Christopher Derek Manning, on November 23, 2013 died and left behind his vast medical challenges. Come celebrate Christopher's life with his family friends from 3:00 to 5:00 pm Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home in Greensboro, NC. Please wear your favorite WWE, sports or music related apparel - Christopher would want you comfortable. Left to cherish Christopher's memory are his parents, Derek and Terri Manning of Greensboro, NC; sister and brother-in-law Amanda and Paul Ingram III, of Hope Mills, NC; paternal grandmother, Eleanor F. Manning, of Greensboro, NC; maternal grandparents "Pop-Pop" George Bagnell and "Nan" Virginia Williams of Philadelphia, PA; uncle David Manning, of Whitsett, NC aunt Fay Bagnell Koenig, of Philadelphia, PA; and cousins Sarah, Joseph, Thomas, and John. Christopher was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Ruth Fay Lechelt and his paternal grandfather, Jack Manning (cheeseburger Happy Meals every Thursday!). Christopher's amazing life included State Special Olympics Gold and Silver medals in track and field; his vast knowledge of all things wrestling; his great passion for music of many kinds - most especially anything by STYX! But one of the greatest highlights of his life was being granted a "Wish" by the generosity of Make-A-Wish Foundation to meet his wrestling idol "Goldberg" of the WWE. But Christopher's greatest accomplishment was that no one stayed a "stranger" - his personality and spirit were irrepressible and he was always ready with a joke in the hope of hearing another's laughter.
