Obituary of Sylvia Jean Long Burleson

Mrs. Sylvia L. Burleson, 70, passed away at Moses Cone Hospital on Wednesday October 9, 2013. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home, with the Reverend Don Clement officiating. Entombment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 pm Saturday, prior to the service, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home. Mrs. Burleson was born September 24, 1943 in Guilford County to Willard and Ethel Green Long. She was married to the late Gene Burleson and retired from Mayer American Textiles. Mrs. Burleson is survived by her children, Jimmy Gray (Kristi) of Franklin, Ronnie Gray ( Donna), of Monroe, Annette Gray, of Greensboro, Daniel Burleson, of Newland; brother, Charles E. Long (Carolyn); sisters, Carroll Ann Owens (Jim), Judy Maxine Taylor (Ron), Linda Kay Nickles (James), and Margie L. Chrismon (Bruce); 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
