To the family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. The years have come gone since we all shared 18th street and mama Hipp and daddy Hipp. The years have come and gone since we played cowboys up and down 18th street. The years again have come and gone since we took our annual vacations together to New Port News and aunt Sadie. And of course the one and only time Jesse and I decided to cut down our own Christmas tree, which cost me part of a finger and scared Jesse! He disappeared for a week!
Yes the years have come and gone, but the memories, well they live forever! Jesse, give Uncle Bill, Aunt Virginia, Aunt Sadie, Uncle Jack, Uncle Howard, Larry and yes my mom and dad our love.

Jesse is my first cousin. In our younger days we each spent a lot of time at Mama Hipp's.
I can remember hearing Jesse play his guitar. I remember watching cartoons with him, such as Huckleberry Hound. Once it snowed when I was at Mama Hipp's, and Jesse and I walked to the store to get some things because the roads were bad. I also remember riding with him in his car. I believe it was a 1957 Chevrolet, black and white. I'm very sorry for his loss. But I am sure he is now in a better place, with Mama Hipp, Daddy Hipp,
his mother (Virginia) and father (Bill), my father (Max), and so many more who have gone on before. Jesse use to call me little Max after my father.
Max Rogers Jones, Jr. (Roger)
