Obituary of Frances Spivey Shores

Frances Spivey Shores, 89, went home to be with her heavenly Father, on July 27, 2013, with her loving family surrounding her. Frances was born on December 6, 1923 in Gaston County, North Carolina, to Sam and Pearl Nolan Spivey. There will be a funeral service at Lakeview Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, at 12:00 pm on Tuesday July 30, 2013 with Reverend J. R. Gossett officiating. The interment will follow the service. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Doug Shores Sr. after 57 years of marriage. She is survived by her four children, Gloria Allen, Janice Oliver and her husband Javie, Doug Shores Jr. and his wife Gloria, and Dean Shores; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 11:00 am in the cemetery's chapel.
