I have known Greg for a number of years at Cone Health. I fortunately shared a "two year" journey with Greg as we both embarked on obtaining our MHA from Pfeiffer University from 2004 - 2006. Greg always had an unique & thought provoking perspective on not only class material but life in general. He always had time to talk and I usually ended up laughing about some situation or insight that he brought up in our conversation.
We will sorely miss your friendly demeanor, wit, and genuine concern for your friends & staff.

Greg and I had a business relationship over the better part of the past 8 years which turned into a very strong friendship beyond the IT world. Greg had an infinite number of sayings that were funny but appropriate to the "task at hand" as he liked to say which went a long way for him achieve what the health system needed done.
I'm pretty sure Greg's generation would consider him "A Trip" in any of the experiences that one could have shared with him. Greg's methods of describing a situation were a mix of IT, some song from the '70's, tying a reference to his donkeys, and then bringing it back to his mustang bullet. That is what made the journey with Greg such a trip.
Greg Scott was a one of a kind original that could never be duplicated and it was an outright honor having worked with him for an extended period of time. He was one of the last guys that would exhaust himself to getting everything lined up to do the job right and work until it was done and done right and thank everyone that was involved for their contribution.
RIP Greg. You will be missed by all. Great Friend, Great Co-Worker, Great Person.

I had the pleasure of meeting Greg when I started working at "Moses Cone", now "Cone Health". Greg and I immediately started about our bike adventures once I found out he was a biker. At that point, we became instant friends.
As time passes on, we shared many things in our lives with each other. He always had a smile on his face, and was always friendly to me Even though I didn't work with his direct department, we always ran into each other and still made time to chat.
I was deeply heart broken when I saw the news in my email. I posted a facebook post that ask for people to watch for us "bikers".
From one biker to another - he made an imprint in my life and I will deeply miss him.
Co-Worker

Greg never stopped by my desk without telling me a joke or doing something to make me laugh. I'll miss his smile and him telling me how he was going "by" Wesley Long when he left for home each day. He will be sincerely missed by everyone at White Box.

I remember working with Greg and Julie at Wesley Long. He was almost always smiling. You could ask him any question and he never made you feel stupid. He will truly be missed.

Greg and Julie are wonderful neighbors! Greg called himself a 'pseudo' farmer, loved Click and Clack (radio show hosts who talk about car repairs), loved to talk about his tractor is bigger and has more power than our tractor (snarl...snarl). Most of all, he loved life.

Greg was a loving husband who was full of surprises. He liked to send Julie flowers. This Mother's Day Julie received flowers from 2 of her beloved pets, the donkeys. It made everyone smile and laugh.
