Obituary of Joanne Becker Brann

Joanne Becker Brann, 79, died after a 3 year battle with pancreatic cancer, with her loving husband, Wayne by her side at Beacon Place on June 18, 2013. Joanne was born in Sidney, Montana on February 15, 1934 to Fred and Lida Roberts Becker. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, June 22, at 11:00 am, in Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery in Browns Summit with Reverend Franklin Bowman officiating. The family will visit with friends after the service in the church. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Lloyd Becker, Dale Becker and a step-daughter, Ellen Collins. Joanne is survived by her husband, Wayne Brann; three sisters, Doris Becker Schraer (Clarence) of Billing, Montana; Jeanette Becker Swihart (Allen) of Richey, Montana, Joyce Becker Deaton (Doug) of Greensboro; step-sons David Brann (Cindy), Daniel Brann (Melanie) and 7 step-grandchildren. Joanne attended the Sidney schools. Joanne was proud of her travels. She has visited in Taiwan, Newfoundland, Turkey and she lived in Alaska for 3 years. Wayne and Joanne were married for 19 wonderful years. The family would like memorials to be made to Beacon Place 2502 Summit Ave. Greensboro, North Carolina 27405; Cone Cancer Center at Wesley Long 501 N Elam Ave. Greensboro, North Carolina 27403; or any charitable group of your choice.
