Obituary of Lina Ellen Brown

Ellen was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer on May 2nd and lost her fight on June 18th, surrounded by family and friends when she went home to be with Jesus, She was preceded in death by her parents Edd Oliver Brown, Jr. and Virginia Pauline Reid Brown, a brother Eddie Brown, along with several aunts and uncles. She is survived by four 1st cousins, Steve Reid, David Reid, Susan Apple, Niki Smith and her boyfriend of 25 years,Richard Freeman. Also, some very special friends Frances Paschal, Bessie Epperly, Connie Bolen, Patty Pegg, Michelle Lyon and Carol Leggett. Ellen always had a big heart for the elderly and cared for many of our loved ones. She recently received her CNA license. Richard and Sondra want to say a very special "thank you" to Carol Leggett. She went above and beyond to show Ellen how much she loved her. Richard also wants to thank Mrs. Evelyn Allen and Ron and Sondra Freeman for their support. A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday, June 26th at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel.
