Obituary of Billy J. Williams

Mr. Billy J. Williams, 74, of Greensboro, died Sunday June 9, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home, with the Reverend Don Clement officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Mr. Williams was born June 5, 1939, in Guilford County to Robert A and Nevie Weddle Williams one of eleven children. He loved NASCAR, racing, fishing,, and his family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Welburn Williams, sisters, Myrtle Wyrick, Julia Logan, and Edna Williams, brothers, Dallas Williams, Connie Williams, and Joe Williams. Mr. Williams is survived by his son, Robert L. Williams (Cindy); daughters, Kathy W. Moody (Cliff), Debbie Ann Williams, and Bonnie W. Smith (Terry); special friend and companion, Shirley Shelton; sisters, Eva Hill and Ilene Watts (Jack); brothers, Arnold Williams (Barbara) and Kenneth Williams (Thelma); 5 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Bonnie and Terry Smith.
