Obituary of William H. Rich

Mr. William H. Rich Jr., 78, of McLeansville, passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, May 5, 2013. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home with the Reverend Johnny Cameron officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery in McLeansville. Mr. Rich was born March 3, 1935 in Randolph County to William and Lola Rich. He served in the National Guard and was married to his former wife Carolyn Kinley Rich for over 42 years. He went to work at the age of 16 in the filling station business to provide for his family. He was a faithful member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and longtime NASCAR fan. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and brethren. In addition to his parents Mr. Rich was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Rich Rose and an infant brother, Norman Keith Rich. He is survived by his son, Timothy Rich (Dene`); daughters, Karen Rich Dolby (Lee) and Beth Rich Green (Kevin); former wife, Carolyn Kinley Rich; grandchildren, TJ, Tess, and Trent Rich, Seth and Colin Dolby, Jacob and Jonah Green; brother, Jerry Rich (Ann); sister, Janice Garner (Bobby); many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm Tuesday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church, 5928 Bethel Church Road, Gibsonville, NC 27249.
