Obituary of Roosevelt Wheeless

Mr. Roosevelt "Pete" Wheeless, 83, of Greensboro, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Wesley Long Hospital. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, at Lakeview Memorial Park, with the Reverend Jason Burton officiating. Mr. Wheeless was born March 8, 1929, in Nash County, North Carolina to Roosevelt Sr. and Gertrude Taylor Wheeless. He served in the US Army during the Korean War, and was a member of Pinecroft Baptist Church for nearly 60 years. Mr. Wheeless was preceded in death by his wife Irene Martin Wheeless, and son-in-law, Terry Duncan. He is survived by his daughter, Vicky W. Duncan; sister, Becky Williams; grandchildren, Michael Duncan and Todd Ducan. We would like to thank the staff at Woodland Place for the love and care they gave daddy for the past year.
