Obituary of Fred Allen

Mr. Fred 'Jerry' Allen, 70, of Gibsonville, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Wesley Long Hospital, with his family by his side. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, January 13th, at Aldersgate Community Center, with the Reverend Joe Chandler officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm prior to the service. Mr. Allen was born November 23, 1942, in Guilford County, to Lester and Edith Duncan Allen. He served in the US Army and retired from Time Warner Cable. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Williamson, sisters, Juanita Greer, Judy Williamson and Betty Malloy. Mr. Allen is survived by daughters, Deborah Cliff and Renee Moore (Rusty); brothers, Paul Allen (Rosalind) and Roger Allen (Sandy); several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 4-A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, NC 27407.
