Obituary of Robert McIntosh

Mr. Robert H. McIntosh, 83, of Greensboro, died Friday, December 21, 2012, at Moses Cone Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, at First Presbyterian Church in Ellerbe, NC, with the Reverend James Watson officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm Saturday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home in Greensboro and 1 to 2 pm Sunday in the Fellowship Hall at First Presbyterian Church, in Ellerbe. Burial will follow in the Ellerbe Town Cemetery. Mr. McIntosh was born November 28, 1929, in Charlotte, NC to Horace and Marie McDonald McIntosh. He served in the US Army in Tokyo, Japan during the occupation following WWII. He served on the Board of Directors for Richmond Community College and was the owner and founder of Universal Scientific Supply Company. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Ellerbe and has served as an Elder and Sunday School teacher for over 30 years. Mr. McIntosh is survived by his wife of 60 years, Julia Gaddy McIntosh; daughter, Becky Donahue (Les) of Atlanta, GA; son, Bobby McIntosh Jr., of Greensboro; twin brother, Bill McIntosh (Brenda) of Mint Hill; grandchildren, Mandy James (Dan) Lindsey Donahue, Andrew Donahue, Ashley McIntosh, and Robbie McIntosh; great-grandchildren, Rowen and Walker James.
