Obituary of Jack Shropshire

Greensboro Jack Self Shropshire, 86, died at his home Sunday, November 25, 2012. Jack was born August 25, 1926 in Greensboro to Jesse Herman and Elsa Vay Davis Shropshire. Jack served his country in the Army. He worked 30 years for the City of Greensboro and was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. Jack's funeral service will be at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 28 at 2:00 pm with the Reverend Charles Arnold officiating. The interment will follow the service at Lakeview Memorial Park. Jack is survived by his children, Judy (Ronnie) Smith, Richard (Brenda) Shropshire, Ronald (Glenda) Shropshire, Bill (Debbie) Shropshire, Jack (Sandy) Shropshire Jr., Cheryl (Barry) Pillow and Larry Shropshire; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He also left behind his beloved grand-dog, Sassy Girl. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm on Wednesday prior to the service.
